1 Description American Traveler is hiring an experienced Cath Lab RN for a day shift assignment requiring interventional cardiac cath lab experience and SC/compact RN licensure. Details Work in the Diagnostic and Interventional Cardiac Cath Lab, including Pre/Post Procedure and Special Procedures areas Day shift schedule, 5x8 hour shifts from 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM Call requirement of every 3rd week Uses Epic for charting Float within the hospital or to nearby affiliate hospitals as needed Requirements Active RN license (SC or compact) required at time of consideration, no pending licenses accepted Current BLS and ACLS certifications required Minimum 1 year of Cath Lab and interventional cardiac cath lab experience required Experience with angioplasty, cardiac stent placement, diagnostic and interventional catheterizations, left heart catheterization, and PCI Skilled in ACT monitoring, procedural sedation monitoring, 12 lead EKG/ECG, radiation and laser safety, and vascular studies/procedures Experience with emergency medications, antiarrhythmics, IV vasopressors, and thrombolytics Copies of certifications required for consideration Two supervisory references required Additional Information Provide direct patient care in diagnostic and interventional cardiac cath lab procedures Candidates should minimize RTO requests, particularly during the first two weeks of the assignment or for full calendar weeks off Any RTO must be approved and documented prior to assignment start Expect to work some holidays during the assignment Must reside within a 50-mile radius or be willing to accept local rate if within that radius Locals accepted at local rate Former permanent staff must have been separated from the facility for at least 5 years to be eligible as a traveler
