As an RN Floor Nurse, you will provide direct nursing care to residents while promoting their highest level of physical, mental, and emotional well-being. Position Summary The RN Floor Nurse is responsible for assessing residents, administering medications and treatments, coordinating care, and ensuring quality resident outcomes. The ideal candidate will possess strong clinical skills, excellent communication abilities, and a commitment to providing outstanding resident-centered care. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Provide direct nursing care to residents in accordance with physician orders, care plans, and facility policies. Administer medications, treatments, and therapies accurately and timely. Perform resident assessments and monitor for changes in condition. Notify physicians and family members of significant changes in resident status. Document resident care accurately and thoroughly in the electronic medical record. Supervise and support Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) and Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs). Participate in care plan meetings and interdisciplinary team discussions. Respond promptly to resident needs and emergency situations. Maintain infection control and safety standards. Ensure compliance with state, federal, and facility regulations. Assist with admissions, discharges, and transfers as needed. Promote resident dignity, independence, and quality of life. Qualifications Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing. Graduate of an accredited nursing program. Long-term care experience preferred but not required. Strong clinical assessment and critical-thinking skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities. Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification preferred. Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
