Overview Join our dynamic healthcare team as a Registered Nurse and become a vital part of delivering exceptional patient care across diverse medical settings. Duties Perform thorough patient assessments including vital signs, physical examinations, and detailed medical histories to inform personalized care plans. Administer medications and injections with precision, following aseptic techniques and established protocols to ensure safety and efficacy. Manage complex clinical procedures such as IV infusions, catheterizations, wound suturing, and ventilator management across various specialties including ICU, emergency medicine, and pediatrics. Utilize electronic health record (EHR) systems like Epic or Cerner to document medical records accurately, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations and medical documentation standards. Conduct diagnostic evaluations such as laboratory specimen collection/processing and interpret results to support clinical decision-making. Provide patient education on treatment plans, medication administration, nutrition, pain management strategies, and discharge instructions to promote recovery and well-being. Collaborate with physicians and specialists in areas like cardiology (including cardiac catheterization), ophthalmology (including Botox or dermal fillers), infectious disease care, hospice & palliative medicine, trauma medicine (Level I & II trauma centers), neonatal resuscitation procedures, and other specialized fields to deliver comprehensive care. Skills Proven experience working with diverse patient populations including geriatrics, pediatrics, individuals with developmental disabilities or dementia care needs. Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy & physiology, ICD coding (ICD-9/10), CPT coding for procedures, and familiarity with electronic health records (EMR/EHR systems such as Athenahealth or eClinicalWorks). Skilled in critical care procedures including airway management, trauma response (Level I & II trauma centers), ICU experience, telemetry monitoring, and acute pain management. Competent in performing advanced clinical skills such as phlebotomy, venipuncture, sterile processing, ostomy care, gastrostomy tube feeding, spinal taps, neonatal ventilator management, and infection control practices. Ability to work effectively in fast-paced environments like emergency rooms or urgent care centers while maintaining attention to detail during complex diagnostic evaluations or laboratory testing. Excellent communication skills for triage assessments in urgent care settings or home & community care environments; capable of providing health coaching and discharge planning. Knowledge of occupational health standards including Workers' Compensation law compliance; experience with hospital medicine or outpatient clinics is highly desirable.
