Unity Psychiatric Care seeks a Part-Time Registered Nurse to provide compassionate inpatient and outpatient psychiatric care for adult and geriatric patients. Responsibilities include conducting mental and physical health assessments, administering medications, monitoring treatment response, supporting crisis stabilization, and maintaining accurate documentation. The RN will collaborate closely with psychiatrists, therapists, and social workers to develop and implement care plans that promote safety, dignity, and long-term wellness in a supportive, team-based environment. Responsibilities Provide psychiatric nursing care to adult and geriatric patients in inpatient and outpatient settings Conduct comprehensive mental and physical health assessments Administer medications and monitor for effectiveness and side effects Support crisis stabilization and implement de-escalation techniques Develop and update individualized care plans in collaboration with the care team Document assessments, interventions, and patient responses in the EHREducate patients and families on treatment plans, medications, and coping strategies Coordinate with psychiatrists, therapists, and social workers to ensure continuity of care Monitor patient safety, implement fall and suicide precautions as needed Participate in quality, safety, and interdisciplinary team meetings Required Skills Psychiatric nursing Patient assessment Medication administration Care planning Crisis intervention Electronic Health Records (EHR) Vital signs monitoring De-escalation techniques Interdisciplinary collaboration Patient and family education
