Registered Nurse - Primary Care The McMinn County Health Department is seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Nurse to join our Primary Care team. This role provides direct clinical services, supports patient care operations, and contributes to key quality and safety initiatives across the department. The ideal candidate is detail‑oriented, adaptable, and committed to providing exceptional service to our patients and community. Responsibilities Deliver patient care following nursing protocols, infection control, and laboratory guidelines. Document services in the electronic medical record at the time of care. Quickly adopt new tools and technologies (Electronic Health Record (EHR) updates, telehealth, point‑of‑care equipment). Assist providers with exams and process lab specimens accurately. Code and document visits per Public Health Nurse (PHN) protocols and Tennessee Department of Health (TDH) billing standards. Participate in quality improvement activities and provide operational feedback. Support departmental goals, ensure a positive patient experience, and collaborate with team members. Follow safety procedures, report hazards or incidents, and assist with root‑cause analysis. Maintain proper vaccine storage and handling practices.

Education and Experience:

Currently licensed as a Registered Nurse.

Necessary Special Qualifications:

Currently licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of Tennessee or holds a privilege to practice in the State of Tennessee under the Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC). A valid motor vehicle operator license may be required.
