Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our healthcare team. The Registered Nurse will play a vital role in patient assessment, treatment administration, and health education, supporting our commitment to exceptional patient-centered care. Responsibilities Conduct thorough patient assessments, including vital signs, physical examinations, and health histories to inform individualized care plans. Administer medications and treatments accurately, including injections, IV infusions, catheterizations, and wound suturing. Monitor patients' conditions continuously using telemetry and other diagnostic tools; respond promptly to changes in status. Maintain detailed and accurate medical documentation within electronic health records (EHR/EHR systems), ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations. Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement effective care strategies. Provide patient education on medication management, post-procedure care, and health promotion strategies. Assist with complex procedures such as cardiac catheterization, dialysis access management, or trauma resuscitation as required. Ensure infection control protocols are strictly followed; maintain aseptic techniques during all procedures. Support discharge planning and coordinate follow-up care for patients transitioning from hospital or long-term care settings. Participate in quality improvement initiatives aligned with NCQA standards and other regulatory requirements. Requirements Valid nursing license (RN) in good standing; additional certifications such as BLS, ACLS, Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP), or Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) preferred. Proven experience working in diverse clinical environments such as ICU, emergency room, medical-surgical units, or long-term care facilities. Proficiency with EMR/EHR systems such as Cerner or Athenahealth; familiarity with ICD coding (ICD-9/ICD-10) is advantageous. Strong clinical skills including IV insertion, phlebotomy, sterile technique, and wound suturing. Knowledge of specialized areas such as cardiology (including cardiac catheterization), ophthalmology treatments like botulinum toxin injections, or hospice & palliative medicine is a plus. Ability to perform comprehensive patient assessments and prioritize urgent needs effectively. Excellent communication skills to educate patients and collaborate within multidisciplinary teams. Flexibility to work in various settings including hospitals, outpatient clinics, home care environments, or assisted living facilities.
