1 Description American Traveler is hiring an experienced Med/Surg RN for a night shift (7P-7A) travel assignment requiring TN or compact RN licensure and at least 1 year of experience. Details Med/Surg unit within a 25-bed critical access hospital 18-bed unit with adult and geriatric patients, occasional pediatric patients Patient ratio of 1:5 Common diagnoses include COPD, pneumonia, hip fracture, altered mental status, falls, UTI, and abdominal pain Uses Meditech EHR Night shift schedule (7:00 PM - 7:00 AM) Rotating weekend requirements No call requirements No floating requirements Requirements Active TN or compact RN license required Current BLS and ACLS certifications (AHA) required Minimum 1 year of RN experience required ADN or BSN required Experience with IV therapy, foley catheters, pain management, and EMAR required Meditech experience preferred Must pass Tennessee Abuse Registry check prior to start date Social Security number and date of birth required for consideration Additional Information Provide quality patient care in a friendly, compassionate, team-oriented environment Scrubs of any color accepted; no casual attire permitted Weekly orientation held on Mondays Candidates must reside 60 miles or greater from the facility to be considered for travel rate Local candidates within 60 miles may be considered at local rate Cannot have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the last 12 months Cannot be employed elsewhere full time while on assignment First-time travelers are welcome to apply
