TriStar Health's New Grad Registered Nurse Residency in Nashville, TN, is a structured transition-to-practice program for recent nursing graduates. Under experienced RN preceptors, residents deliver safe, evidence-based care across medical-surgical and specialty units while building confidence with hands-on clinical practice, simulation, and classroom learning. You'll assess patients, administer medications, document in the EMR, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams. Responsibilities Provide safe, evidence-based nursing care under RN preceptor supervision Participate in a structured residency with classroom, simulation, and clinical rotations Administer medications, perform assessments, and document in EMR accurately Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and interdisciplinary teams on care plans Monitor patient status, report changes, and respond to emergencies per protocol Educate patients and families on treatments, medications, and discharge plans Adhere to safety, infection prevention, and quality standards of Tri Star Health Engage in ongoing learning, feedback, and skills validation throughout the residency Support a patient-first culture with compassionate, culturally competent care Participate in unit meetings, training, and quality improvement initiatives Required Skills Patient assessment Medication administration Electronic Medical Records (EMR) documentation IV therapy and vascular access basics Vital signs monitoring and interpretation Clinical reasoning and care planning Infection prevention and control Basic life support (BLS) Telemetry and monitoring fundamentals Wound and post-surgical care
