Medical Spa Registered Nurse (RN) / Nurse Practitioner (NP) Job Description No Prior Med Spa Experience required (on- site training) for the right candidate. A Medical Spa Registered Nurse (RN) or Nurse Practitioner (NP) specializes in performing non-surgical cosmetic and dermatological treatments. Unlike traditional clinical nursing, this role focuses on elective procedures that enhance a patient's appearance and self-confidence. Core Responsibilities The role is multi-faceted, combining technical clinical skills with aesthetic judgment and customer service.

Consultations & Assessments :

Performing skin assessments, discussing beauty goals, and creating customized treatment plans. Assessing patient's skin-related health problems.

Injectable Treatments :

Administering neurotoxins like Botox and dermal fillers to address wrinkles and facial volume.

Advanced Skin Procedures :

Performing chemical peels, microneedling, various laser treatments, other advanced skin care treatments (e.g., hair removal, skin resurfacing).

Patient Education :

Explaining procedure risks, setting realistic expectations, and providing detailed post-treatment care instructions.

Clinical Support :

Maintaining sterilized environments& medical tools, managing inventory, and capturing high-quality before-and-after photography.

Sales & Wellness :

Recommending professional skincare products and sometimes assisting with wellness programs like IV therapy or medical weight loss.

Preop and Postop Care :

Preparing patients for operation and conducting post-operative care.

Clinical Skills Up-to-date:

Researching new procedures and protocols to stay up to date. Surgical -

Procedural Assistant:

Assisting surgeons or physicians with cosmetic surgeries and procedures. Scheduling appointments and screening patients. Computer and documentation skills required. Required Skills & Qualifications Med Spa RNs or NPs must balance medical safety with a "natural salesman" ability to build a loyal client base.

Licensure :

An active RN license (ADN or BSN) and / or NP license in good standing is mandatory.

Technical Expertise :

Proficiency in phlebotomy for lab work or IV infusions and specialized training in aesthetic equipment.

Interpersonal Skills :

Exceptional communication and a "polished" demeanor are critical for a luxury service environment.

Artistic Judgment :

The ability to assess facial symmetry and deliver natural-looking aesthetic results.
