1 Description American Traveler is hiring a Labor & Delivery RN for a night shift LDRP role requiring at least 2 years of L&D, postpartum, and nursery experience along with AWHONN and NRP certification. Details Labor and Delivery unit within an LDRP care model, including Antepartum, Postpartum, Mother/Baby, and Level I Nursery Night shift schedule of 3x12-hour shifts (7:00 PM-7:00 AM), 36 hours per week Every other weekend requirement Float coverage may be required to Antepartum, NICU, and Postpartum/Nursery Patient ratio of 1:2 Facility performs fewer than 100 births per month Care includes high-risk antepartum, vaginal and C-section deliveries, and newborn care Requirements Active RN license (Compact or TN) required Minimum 2 years of LDRP experience, including Labor & Delivery, Postpartum, and Nursery Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, AWHONN, and NRP Epic EMR experience required within the last 18 months and must be documented on profile Prior travel nursing experience required Skills required include IV therapy/phlebotomy, fetal monitoring (external and internal), amnioinfusion, and assisting with high-risk and vaginal deliveries Experience administering medications such as Pitocin, Magnesium Sulfate, and antihypertensives Community hospital experience preferred Previous charge experience preferred Additional Information Responsibilities include labor management, high-risk delivery support, newborn assessment, and postpartum care Provide neonatal care in the delivery room, including APGAR scoring and thermoregulation Support breastfeeding/lactation and discharge teaching for new parents Manage postpartum complications such as hemorrhage and pregnancy-induced hypertension Utilize EFM and IUPC for fetal monitoring and assessment Local candidates and first-time travelers accepted at the same pay rate Candidates requiring respirator fit testing must be clean-shaven
