This contract opportunity seeks an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in the Operating Room (OR). Work alongside surgical teams to ensure quality care during procedures and support positive patient experiences in a fast-paced healthcare setting.
Qualifications & Experience:
Current, active RN license Minimum of 1 year experience in an Operating Room setting Proficient in scrubbing and circulating responsibilities within the OR Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (required) Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification, if applicable Strong organizational and communication skills Ability to effectively respond to emergent situations and adapt to changing priorities Solid understanding of surgical asepsis and infection control protocols
Responsibilities:
Deliver safe, effective nursing care to patients before, during, and after surgical procedures Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other OR staff to ensure a smooth surgical flow Monitor vital signs and patient status throughout surgical procedures Maintain accurate, thorough documentation in compliance with regulations and facility protocols Prepare and organize operating rooms with necessary instruments, equipment, and supplies Adhere to strict policies for sterilization and infection control Provide emotional support and clear information to patients and their families
