Job Description

Patricia Neal Rehabilitation Hospital in Knoxville, TN seeks a compassionate Registered Nurse to provide inpatient rehabilitative care for patients recovering from stroke, brain and spinal cord injury, complex orthopedic and neurological conditions, and other serious illnesses or injuries. You will complete assessments, develop and implement care plans, administer medications, monitor progress, and coordinate with an interdisciplinary rehab team. RNs contribute to patient and family education, uphold safety and quality standards, and participate in continuous learning in a collaborative, patient-centered environment focused on restoring independence. Responsibilities Provide comprehensive nursing care to inpatient rehabilitation patients Perform initial and ongoing patient assessments and document in EHRDevelop, implement, and update individualized care plans Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately Monitor patient progress, vital signs, and response to therapies Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary rehab team members Educate patients and families on recovery, safety, and self-care Uphold infection control, safety, and quality standards Participate in care conferences and discharge planning Engage in ongoing clinical education and skills development Required Skills Patient assessment Care planning Medication administration Rehabilitation nursing Wound care IV therapy Vital signs monitoring Electronic health records (EHR) Patient and family education Interdisciplinary team collaboration
