Correctional RN provides comprehensive nursing care to inmates, collaborates with staff to develop individualized care plans, and manages acute and chronic conditions in a correctional facility. The position is an 8-week travel assignment located in or near Sevierville, TN.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide comprehensive nursing care to inmates within the correctional facility, ensuring adherence to all safety and health protocols. Collaborate with facility staff to develop and implement individualized care plans for inmates. Document patient assessments, treatments, and progress accurately in the electronic medical records (EMR) system. Monitor and manage acute and chronic health conditions, administering medications and treatments as prescribed. Execute emergency procedures and respond to medical crises promptly to stabilize patients and coordinate further care.

Qualifications:

Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or equivalent. Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Tennessee. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification. Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification. Minimum of 2 years of corrections nursing experience. Experience with electronic medical records (EMR) systems. Ability to work 7a-7p with rotating 36/48-hour weeks to include every other weekend. Strong physical stamina and ability to stand for extended periods. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred Skills:

Prior travel nursing experience preferred.
