09/17/2026 Job Description Job Description Obtains health history information and documents current physical conditions. Conduct pre-op planning by reviewing patient charts and verifying appropriate time is allocated for each scheduled case. Ensures all necessary items are in place prior to surgery to perform case i.e. reps for cases are notified, appropriate staff will be present to perform surgery, appropriate equipment will be present to perform case, case was scheduled correctly, patient received appropriate labs, tests, and clearances; review labs, tests, and clearances prior to surgery, in a timely manner. Assist surgeon during OR procedures. Facilitates patient transition within health care settings. e.g. hospital admission, pre-op, transfer, recovery, discharge. Rounds on post-surgical patients during the week and if necessary, on weekends when requested by physician; small patient amount. Call back patients to check medical status post Tarlov cyst surgery. Assists doctor during clinic days by participating in office clinic. Prepares patients for and assists with examinations or treatments. Prepares equipment and aids Physician during examination of patient Follows up with patients pre and post-op; counsels patients on treatment plans and assists in locating additional community resources to patients as needed. Orders, performs, or interprets the results of diagnostic tests. Call patients regarding their MRI/CT/x-ray results. Assist with tracking, reviewing diagnostic testing results, and notifying patients. Triages and/or provides telephonic clinical care and support of patients by phone, and consults with physician as appropriate. Analyzes and interprets patients' histories, symptoms, physical findings, or diagnostic information to develop appropriate diagnoses. Diagnoses or treats acute health care problems such as illnesses, infections, or injuries. Modifies patient treatment plans as indicated by patients' responses and conditions. Recommends diagnostic or therapeutic interventions. Educates patients about self-management of acute or chronic illnesses. Maintains complete and detailed records of patients' health care plans and prognoses. Monitors all aspects of patient care. Regular predictable attendance is required.
