Job Summary We are seeking an experienced, compassionate Regional Maternal Heath Clinic Registered Nurse- Prenatal & Postpartum to provide exceptional care, education, and support to mothers and families throughout the prenatal and the postpatum period. Responsibilities Conduct thorough patient assessments, including vital signs, fetal monitoring, and physical examinations tailored to maternal health needs. Administer medications and treatments such as epidural anesthesia, IV infusions, and suturing during labor and postpartum procedures. Provide education on prenatal care, childbirth preparation, breastfeeding, and postpartum recovery to patients and their families. Collaborate with obstetricians, neonatologists, and other healthcare professionals to develop individualized care plans aligned with best practices. Utilize electronic health record (EHR) systems like Epic or Cerner to document patient information accurately and maintain detailed medical records. Manage triage for urgent maternal concerns, ensuring timely intervention for complications such as preeclampsia or labor issues. Support infection control protocols, aseptic techniques, and neonatal resuscitation procedures to ensure safety for both mother and baby. Experience Current Texas RN license 3-5 years of Labor & Delivery experience required EFM trained, certification preferred CLC, IBCLC, or CBS certification preferred Strong patient education, communication, and maternal-newborn assessment skills required A Passion for supporting healthy pregnancies, successful postpartum transitions, breastfeeding, and family-centered care.
