Within the Oncology unit, the Medical Oncology care team delivers coordinated chemotherapy, immunotherapy, targeted treatments, and comprehensive symptom management; as a Medical Oncology RN, practice in a 150+ bed, acute‑care environment serving Northeast Texas and Southeast Oklahoma with a 100+ year history, supported by an Advanced Level III Trauma Facility designation, a top 5% national ranking for orthopedic outcomes, a high‑performing status in heart failure care, and certification in Advanced Primary Stroke Care; this Oncology RN role benefits from cohesive inpatient and ambulatory pathways, survivorship programming, palliative integration, and precision‑medicine consults that elevate outcomes and patient experience.

This RN Oncology position reports to an Oncology Nurse Manager with daily collaboration alongside a Charge Nurse and the Oncology Medical Director; as an Oncology Registered Nurse, responsibilities include safe chemo/biotherapy administration per ONS standards, central‑line and port management, early recognition of oncologic emergencies, evidence‑based symptom control, patient and family education, coordination of care with case management and social work, optimization of order sets and clinical decision support, and participation in quality, safety, and ethics councils; expect a supportive preceptor program, mentorship through clinical ladders, friendly nurses who champion teamwork, and a diverse healthcare professional team spanning pharmacy, PT/OT, nutrition, respiratory, palliative care, and navigation for seamless transitions of care.
