Job Description The Director of Nursing is a registered professional nurse who is responsible for the overall administration of the clinical services and monitoring of appropriate staffing and quality of patient care. Coordinates care with the interdisciplinary team, patient/family and referring agency. Monitor and analyze QA/PI issues and direct clinical staff with regard to agency policies and procedures. The Director of Nursing is the supervising nurse and responsible to write and review all plans of care. Is required to attend scheduled IDG meetings. Cultivates and environment of exceptional professionalism and customer service by communicating with patients, family members, care givers, co-workers, referral sources and all customers. Job Requirements Education - Graduate of an accredited Diploma, Associate or Baccalaureate School of Nursing. License- Registered Nurse with current license to practice in Texas. Valid Drivers license and automobile insurance. Must be; kind, compassionate, honest, able to manage and lead other healthcare professionals, self-driven with high personal integrity, observant, skilled in problem solving and prioritizing. Experience 2 or more years in Hospice, Home Health or Long Term Care experience
