A Registered Nurse provides medical care and treatment, educates patients about their conditions, and provides emotional support to patients and families. Works in hospitals, schools, clinics or community health centers. Works under the supervision of a physician or other specialist, and serves as the primary point of care for patients in a hospital setting. May specialize in emergency room work, or treatment for a particular condition, or specialize in working with infants, the elderly or other patient groups. May work as an advanced practice specialists and prescribe medications in addition to offering specialty care.

Job Description
The Pediatric
ICU/CCU RN
is a member of the Critical Care Department and manages patients with multi- system failure and a variety of life-threatening illnesses. The Pediatric ICU/CCU nurse assumes responsibility and accountability for assigned patients and is responsible to the Clinical Manager or client facility designee.
- Minimum Requirements:
- + Current RN license in good standing in state of practice + One year recent experience in ICU, CCU, PICU, NICU or emergency medicine required + Successful completion of Amergis Staffing Solutions testing process + Prefers evidence of
ACLS, PALS, NRP
certification
+ Shows evidence of CEU requirements for the state of practice
+ Demonstrates the ability to assume a leadership role in a crisis situation
+ Demonstrates clinical competence specific to intensive care
+ Demonstrates the ability to work with patient growth and development needs across the specific unit of assignment
+ Demonstrates ability to work in a team environment
+ Demonstrates a full range of body motion in a regular performance of duties on a daily basis
+ Must be able to work with frequent interruptions + 1-3 years complex job related experience
+ PALS, BLS, and ACLS, as required.
+ Must be at least 18 years of age
