Job Description

We are excited to invite a compassionate and dedicated Registered Nurse to join our vibrant surgical team. In this vital role, you will provide exceptional nursing care to patients before and after their surgical procedures, ensuring their comfort, safety, and emotional well-being throughout their experience. You will be an integral part of a multidisciplinary team, collaborating closely with surgeons, anesthetists, and support staff to deliver seamless and high-quality care. Responsibilities:
Assist patients in the preoperative area by preparing them physically and emotionally for surgery. Monitor vital signs and assess patients' condition to identify any changes requiring intervention. Provide postoperative care including monitoring for complications and managing pain effectively. Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure continuity of care. Educate patients and their families about postoperative care, recovery expectations, and discharge instructions. Maintain accurate and detailed patient records and documentation to support care coordination. Ensure adherence to infection control protocols and hospital safety standards to promote a safe surgical environment. Respond promptly to emergencies and provide critical support in the perioperative setting. Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license and current certification. Strong knowledge of preoperative and postoperative nursing care practices. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to support patient education and team collaboration. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and team-oriented hospital environment. Proficiency in monitoring and managing patient vital signs and recognizing signs of distress. Commitment to upholding patient confidentiality and ethical nursing standards. Flexibility to work various shifts.
