A 13-week travel RN assignment within a high-acuity Pre-Op/Day Surgery/Phase II Recovery unit offers significant professional enrichment. Contribute alongside leaders in the field, supporting the region's internationally recognized transplant and metabolic surgery programs, while broadening your resume and building experience with a top-notch clinical team.
Schedule/Hours:
Monday-Friday, 12:00 pm - 8:30 pm, Variable/Flexible 36 guaranteed hours per week Weekends and call—details provided during interviewQualifications:
Active Texas RN License (no temporary licenses) 2+ years of recent hospital or travel RN experience BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required Direct PACU experience preferred Proficiency with IVs and familiarity with Meditech documentation preferredResponsibilities:
Deliver comprehensive care to surgical patients in pre-op and post-op recovery phases Maintain a patient ratio of pre-op 1:1 and short stay (Phase II) 3:1 Collaborate with multidisciplinary staff (PCAs, unit secretary, phlebotomist) Adhere to facility policies, particularly regarding floating and attendance Perform patient preparation and discharge, including managing pain blocks with anesthesiaBenefits & Perks:
