Role Overview:

The Nurse practices independently in a clinical setting, providing routine and complex patient care while managing long-term goals and contingencies. They assign and delegate tasks to care team members to ensure effective patient management.

Key Responsibilities:

Utilize the nursing process—assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation—for assigned patients. Address the psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families. Administer medications and treatments following protocols, monitoring for side effects and effectiveness. Document patient history, symptoms, medications, and care provided. Assess learning needs and provide education to patients, families, and caregivers, identifying issues and resources.

Qualifications & Skills:

Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred. At least 1 year of related nursing experience preferred. Current RN license in the state of employment or a compact license. BLS certification required.
