A skilled nurse practicing independently in a clinical setting, providing both routine and complex patient care while managing contingencies and long-term goals.

Key Responsibilities:

Utilize the nursing process—assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation—for assigned patients. Address psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families. Administer medications and treatments following protocols, monitor for side-effects and effectiveness. Document patient history, symptoms, medications, and care provided. Assess learning needs and educate patients, families, and caregivers, identifying issues and resources. Delegate tasks appropriately to care team members to manage clinical situations effectively.

Qualifications & Skills:

Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred. Minimum of 1 year experience in a related nursing specialty preferred. Current RN license in the state of employment or via compact. BLS certification required.
