Job Description

Methodist Health System in Dallas is seeking a PRN Registered Nurse to deliver high-quality, faith-based care on an as-needed basis. In this flexible role, you will perform assessments, administer medications, coordinate care, and document in the EHR while collaborating with an interdisciplinary team. You will support various hospital units, respond to changing patient needs, and uphold safety and infection control standards. Responsibilities Provide high-quality, compassionate patient care on an as-needed basis across assigned units Perform assessments, document care, and follow physician orders and care plans Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care and discharge plans Respond promptly to changes in patient condition and escalate concerns appropriately Educate patients and families on treatment, medications, and follow-up care Maintain accurate electronic health records and comply with regulatory standards Adhere to infection prevention, safety, and Methodist Health System policies Demonstrate flexibility in assignments, shifts, and patient populations as needed Participate in ongoing training, competency checks, and quality improvement initiatives Required Skills Patient assessment Medication administration Electronic Health Records (EHR) documentation IV therapy and venipuncture Care planning and coordination Cardiac and vital sign monitoring Infection prevention and control Patient and family education Emergency response and escalation Interdisciplinary team collaboration
