JOBSUMMARY
To provide support to our team. This position will focus on referrals, priorAuths, Annual wellness visit documentation andprovide backupnursing support for when a team member is out on PTO or sick.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
Education:
Graduate of an accredited School of Professional nursing
PersonalJob-RelatedSkills:
Effective oral and written communication skills. Strong attention to detail.
Licensure, Registry or Certification:
Registered Nurse, Vocational Nursecurrently licensedor Certified Medical assistantby the State of Texas. Current BLS certificationrequired.
PRIOR WORK EXPERIENCE
Oneyearexperience as a professional RN,LVNor CMApreferred.
TECHNICAL TRAINING
Working knowledge and competent capabilities in computer technologypreferred.
PHYSICAL AND MENTAL REQUIREMENTS
Duties of this position require: Extended periods of standing and walking. Bending stooping, twisting, reaching, andlifting upto 50 pounds. Occasional heavy lifting when moving or supporting patients who may suddenly become weak or helpless. The ability tocomprehendand follow routine written or verbal instructions or directions.

Conduct Patient Assessments:
Interviewpatients todeterminemedical problems or conditions and perform physical examinations, documenting findings in patient charts for physician review. Gather prior Authorizations, Referrals andsendto theappropriate locationswith supporting documents as needed. Assistin clinical laboratoryauditmonthly. Enter AWV information on websites for Medicare patients. Assistin scheduling patients for well visits when needed.
Obtain and Record Vital Signs:
Accurately obtain and record patients' vital signs and weight as part of routine assessments. Assist with
Patient Examinations:
Provide assistance tophysicians during patient examinations,facilitatinga smooth and efficient process.
Review and Communicate Physician Orders:
Review physician orders, lab requests, and follow-up needs with patients, ensuring clear communication and understanding. Document Services for
Billing:
Document all services performed for billing purposes to ensureaccuratepatient records and billing processes.
Perform Basic Wound Care:
Provide basic wound care, applyingdressingsand managing minor injuries asrequired.
Apply Therapeutic Compresses:
Apply compresses, ice bags, and hot water bottles as part of treatment plans.
Provide Health Education:
Educate patients and their families on health-related topics, including preventative care and management of medical conditions. Engage in
Continuing Education:
Pursue continuing education opportunities in specialty areas to enhance knowledge and skills.
Maintain Licensure and Certifications:
Ensure current licensure and certifications aremaintainedin compliance with regulatory requirements.
Monitor and Report Patient Observations:
Observepatients closely and report any adverse reactions to medication or treatment to the medical personnel in charge.
Deliver Primary Care Services:
Provide primary care services for clinic patients, including obtaining medical histories and performingwell-child, includingscreeningsand immunizations.
Administer Medications:
Administer specified medications, whether orally or by subcutaneous or intramuscular injection, and accuratelydocumenttime and dosage in patients charts.
Utilize Medical Equipment:
Assemble and use medical equipment such as audiometers, pulse oximetry, nebulizers, and supplemental oxygen.
Collect and Test Samples:
Collect samples (e.g., urine, blood, sputum) for laboratory testing and perform routine tests on these samples.
Sterilize Equipment and Supplies:
Ensure all equipment and supplies are properly sterilized and maintained according to safety standards.
Clean Exam Rooms:
Clean and prepare exam rooms between patient visits to maintain a hygienic environment.
Manage Inventory Supplies:
Maintain medical supplies, including stocking, ordering new supplies, and disposing of expired or damaged items. Respond to
Patient Inquiries:
Address patient telephone inquiries by evaluating and responding to their problems and questions. Follow Up on
Lab Results:
Follow up with patients on lab results and schedule any additional tests as needed.
Coordinate Patient Referrals:
