Job Description

Medical City Healthcare is seeking an experienced RN Oncology ICU nurse to deliver expert, evidence-based care to critically ill oncology patients in a high-acuity intensive care setting. The RN will manage complex chemotherapy regimens, blood products, ventilators, central lines, and hemodynamic monitoring while ensuring meticulous assessment and documentation. You will collaborate closely with physicians, pharmacists, and interdisciplinary teams, educate patients and families, and uphold rigorous safety and infection control standards. Responsibilities Provide evidence-based nursing care to critically ill oncology patients in the ICUContinuously assess, monitor, and document patient status and responses to treatment Administer chemotherapy, blood products, and high-risk medications per protocol Manage ventilators, central lines, infusion pumps, and hemodynamic monitoring equipment Collaborate with physicians, pharmacists, and interdisciplinary teams on care plans Educate patients and families on treatment, prognosis, and post-ICU care Implement infection prevention and safety protocols in the ICU setting Respond to emergencies and perform advanced life support interventions Precept and mentor new staff, contributing to a culture of learning and excellence Participate in quality improvement initiatives and adherence to regulatory standards Required Skills Oncology nursing Critical care/ICU nursing Chemotherapy administration Central line and port management Mechanical ventilation management Hemodynamic monitoring Advanced cardiac life support (ACLS) Pain and symptom management in oncology Electronic medical record (EMR) documentation Interdisciplinary care coordination
