Job Description

We want you to join our team! The Center for Cancer and Blood Disorders has more than 60 cancer specialists and 400 healthcare professionals representing many different areas of medical and administrative services across 22 locations throughout North Texas. We can offer you a competitive salary and a complete benefits package with incentives to earn more. All full time employees are eligible for an annual profit sharing bonus. This position will float between our Southlake and Alliance locations. Responsible for providing professional nursing care to clinic patients under supervision of physicians and advanced practitioners. Assesses the patient's condition, lab values, & vital signs. Provides patient care as defined in your scope of practice. Documents all activities/interventions, patient/family responses, and medications dispensed/prescribed in the medical record. Mixes infusion medications as ordered under the direction of a physician. Adheres to infection control/safety guidelines, and confidentiality policies. Experience administering chemotherapy preferred, but not required.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE
  • Must be licensed with Texas State Board of Nurse Examiners
  • Experience administering chemotherapy preferred, but not required.
  • Must be able to communicate with patients, peers, physicians and the general public
  • Must have telephone communication and etiquette skills
  • Must have basic computer skills, including word processing, keyboarding and ability to learn computerized scheduling and charting system.
  • Must have professional appearance
  • Must be capable of managing multiple tasks
  • Must be a team player
