Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our dynamic healthcare team. In this vital role, you will provide exceptional patient care across diverse settings, including acute care, long-term care, outpatient clinics, and community health environments. Your expertise will ensure patients receive comprehensive assessments, personalized treatment plans, and compassionate support throughout their healthcare journey. Responsibilities Perform thorough patient assessments, including vital signs, physical examinations, and medical history documentation using EMR (Electronic Medical Record) systems such as Epic or Cerner. Administer medications and injections accurately, including IV infusions, immunizations, and other treatments following aseptic techniques and HIPAA regulations. Assist with specialized procedures such as suturing, catheterization, dialysis management, and tube feeding in various clinical settings like ICU, PICU, or outpatient clinics. Monitor patients' physiological status continuously, manage acute pain and airway issues, and respond swiftly to emergent situations in emergency rooms or trauma centers. Collaborate with physicians and healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans aligned with NCQA standards and ICD coding requirements. Educate patients and families on health management topics such as geriatrics, behavioral health, hospice & palliative medicine, or post-acute care strategies. Ensure accurate medical documentation of patient care activities while maintaining compliance with HIPAA and other regulatory standards. Qualifications Valid nursing license (RN) in accordance with state or national licensing boards. Proven experience in diverse clinical environments such as hospital medicine, emergency medicine, critical care units (ICU/Trauma Center), or outpatient clinics. Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems like Epic, Cerner, Athenahealth or eClinicalWorks for documentation and patient management. Strong knowledge of medical terminology, physiology, anatomy, ICD-10/ICD-9 coding practices, and diagnostic evaluation procedures. Experience working with individuals with disabilities or developmental delays is highly desirable. Competence in performing complex procedures such as venipuncture, phlebotomy, sterile processing techniques, laboratory specimen collection/processing, and infection control protocols. Ability to handle high-pressure situations efficiently in fast-paced environments like emergency rooms or Level I Trauma Centers. Excellent communication skills for triage assessments, patient education on pain management or medication administration, and interdisciplinary collaboration.
