PRIMARY FUNCTION
Perform skilled nursing care to patients in their home, within scope of Nurse Practice Act. Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS
Licensed Vocational Nurse currently in the State of Texas. Experience of one year as a licensed vocational nurse and/or with comparable experience. Current certification in Basic Life Support must be maintained. Must have current drivers license, and be legally able to operate your own dependable vehicle. Must have proof of liability insurance, motor vehicle record which complies with RPMHs Automobile Safety and Liability policy #2520.
PRIMARY FUNCTION
Perform skilled nursing care to patients in the Nolan County Jail, within scope of Nurse Practice Act.
INTERNAL AND EXTERNAL CONTACTS
Sheriff deputies, general Public, representatives of other health care facilities, physicians, and other in house departmental personnel. Patients and patients families/caregivers.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Duties of the position require moderate periods of sitting, standing and walking, may involve lifting up to 50 lbs., bending, stooping, squatting, twisting, and handling equipment. The potential of some bending, stooping, reaching, pulling, and pushing when providing care to patients. Lifting up to 50 lbs. and occasional heavy lifting in supporting or moving patients who may suddenly become weak or helpless.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
Office, and travel to Nolan County Jail required.
