Starting Pay Rate:
$40.00/Hourly + (Based on experience) Temporary to hire
Registered Nurse Responsibilities:
Deliver nursing care to individuals with mental illness, substance use issues, and dual diagnoses. Administer medications according to the five rights of medication administration, following all storage, handling, and documentation requirements. Conduct thorough patient assessments, perform diagnostic tests, and administer medications. Educate patients on medication initiation, changes, and discharge instructions; provide group education on health topics including medication management, nutrition, smoking cessation, and diabetes. Ensure accurate and timely documentation of nursing care and patient observations. Implement interventions as needed, adhering to established policies and procedures. Maintain communication with supervisors and collaborate with medical and care coordination teams. Ensure psychoactive medications are administered and documented appropriately per MAR guidelines and informed consent procedures (except in emergencies).
Education Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent, required.
Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Texas, required
