Trusted Health is seeking a skilled Travel Nurse for our Medical Surgical/Telemetry Unit within the Healthcare & Medical Services industry. As a frontline RN, you'll deliver high-quality, evidence-based care to diverse adult patients requiring continuous cardiac monitoring and complex medical-surgical management. Responsibilities include telemetry rhythm interpretation, medication and IV administration, wound and post-op care, patient education, and interdisciplinary collaboration. Responsibilities Provide direct nursing care to adult patients on a Medical Surgical/Telemetry unit Continuously monitor and interpret cardiac telemetry and vital signs Administer medications, treatments, and IV therapies per provider orders Perform comprehensive patient assessments and document accurately in the EMRCollaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary team to develop care plans Educate patients and families on diagnoses, treatments, and discharge plans Respond promptly to changes in patient condition and emergencies Maintain strict infection control and patient safety standards Precept and support fellow travel and core nursing staff as needed Communicate effectively with staffing coordinators to manage assignments and schedules Required Skills Telemetry monitoring and rhythm interpretation Medical-surgical nursing care IV insertion and infusion management Wound care and post-operative management Electronic Medical Record (EMR) documentation Cardiac and hemodynamic assessment Medication administration and titration Patient and family education Acute care time-management and prioritization Care coordination with interdisciplinary teams
