Registered Nurse Fairfax, VA Pay From:

$42 per hour

MUST:

Experienced Registered Nurse Operating Room 2+ years of experience as a Registered Nurse 2+ years of circulating experience in an Operating Room 2+ years of experience working on Orthopedic cases Must have experience with Orthopedics Must have BLS Experience with preparing Operating Room Sterilizing and counting instruments

DUTIES:

Prepare for and assist with surgical procedures Sets up equipment Ensure set up of appropriate equipment depending on procedures Arrange instruments as required Anticipate needs for required materials including instruments, sponges, sutures, suction tubes and other items Maintain aseptic field Adjust operating table and equipment as required Prepare operative area and drapes patient or assists surgeon with draping Observes progress of surgery After operation, may apply or assist in applying dressings ,and transferring patient, from operating room to recovery room Cleans or directs cleaning and sterilization of contaminated instruments, equipment and supplies Re-sterilize unused supplies Clean or assist in cleaning operating room areas and caring for and disposing of infectious and soiled materials Other duties as assigned Quadrant is an affirmative action/equal opportunity employer.
