Job Description

Inova Fairfax Hospital's Main Tower PACU is currently seeking a Full-Time PACU experienced registered nurse to support 0800-2030, 0900-2130, 1000-2230, 1100-2330, and 1200-0030 (most common shift times). There are 1-2 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule and 3 holidays per year required. 2-3 on call shifts required per six-week schedule. We assign shift times based on seniority and the needs of the unit. This dynamic perianesthesia care unit (PACU) serves a wide variety of surgical patients from the ambulatory to those requiring critical care. The surgical population includes ENT, general, colorectal, neurosurgery, orthopedic, plastics (both cosmetic and trauma), thoracic, transplants, and urology. We serve the entire age continuum from the pediatric to the geriatric patients. Nurses in this unit care for the perianesthesia patient throughout all phases including Preop, Phase 1, and Phase 2; and can rotate as needed to fit the needs of the unit.

RN PACU Qualifications:
Experience
  • 1 year of PACU or Critical Care (ICU/ED) nursing experience Certification
  • Basic Life Support through AHA Licensure
  • Licensed Registered Nurse or eligible for licensure in the Commonwealth of Virginia as a
Registered Nurse Education:
BSN from an accredited school of nursing. If RN has an Associate's Degree (ADN); must complete BSN within 5 years of start date.
RN PACU Preferred Qualifications:
2 years of PACU and/or critical care nursing experience (ICU or ED) For internal use only: #LI-KA1 IND1
