Understands and incorporates AORN, TJC, and other professional and regulatory standards into clinical practice. Adheres to all Inova policies and procedures and coaches staff on compliance to all policies and procedures. Coordinates the delivery of appropriate services for specialty, physician group, and population. Engages the OR team in critical thinking about the management of the case. Collaborates with the OR team and serves as a resource. Sequences case, physician, and patient care activities to include instrumentation, equipment and supplies, appropriate staff and specialty personnel, tests, and therapies. Ensures all safety standards are addressed with the team. Facilitates seamless transitions between pre- intra
- and post-operative patient care.
Minimum Qualifications:
Certification- Basic Life Support upon start Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) via NBSTSA or Tech in Surgery
- Certified (TS-C) via NCCT Licensure Registered Surgical Technologist with VA
- Upon Start Experience
- 2 years of Surgical Technologist experience in cardiac surgery Education
- High School diploma or equivalent
