09/16/2026 Job Description Job Description The Children's Clinic of Fredericksburg is seeking a dedicated and experienced Nurse Practitioner with a passion for providing high-quality care to pediatric patients. As a vital member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for delivering primary care and urgent care services to pediatric patients, from infants to adolescents. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, a strong commitment to patient-centered care, and a collaborative approach to working with other healthcare providers.Responsibilities:
Provide comprehensive pediatric primary care services, including well-child visits, vaccinations, growth and development monitoring, and health education. Diagnose and treat acute and chronic illnesses in pediatric patients. Perform physical examinations and assessments of pediatric patients, including ordering and interpreting lab tests and imaging as needed. Administer treatments and provide recommendations for ongoing care and management. Collaborate with other healthcare providers, such as physicians, nurses, and specialists, to ensure comprehensive care. Offer urgent care services for pediatric patients, including evaluation and treatment of minor injuries and illnesses. Educate patients and their families on health maintenance, disease prevention, and treatment options. Maintain accurate and thorough medical records for all patients. Stay current with medical advancements and pediatric healthcare trends through continuing education. Adhere to all regulatory and compliance guidelines and organizational policies and procedures.Requirements:
Master's degree in nursing from an accredited program. Current Nurse Practitioner license in the state of Virginia. Board certification as a Pediatric or Family Nurse Practitioner or Family Nurse preferred. Minimum of 5 years of experience in pediatric or family primary care. Strong knowledge of pediatric medicine and clinical practices. Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills. Ability to work independently as well as in a collaborative healthcare team. Proficiency in electronic medical records (EMR) systems.Benefits:
