Job Description

Key Qualifications:
Active and unrestricted Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN/LVN) or Registered Nurse (RN) license Prior experience with tracheostomy and ventilator care is essential Previous school nursing or pediatric experience preferred, especially in a 1:1 capacity Comfortable riding the bus to and from school to support the student's medical needs throughout the commute Ability to work independently without direct supervision from the school nurse during the school day Strong communication skills to collaborate with educators, parents, and healthcare team
Primary Responsibilities:
Deliver comprehensive care and monitoring for a medically fragile high school student throughout the school day and during transportation Perform all necessary medical procedures, including trach and vent management, medication administration, and emergency interventions as needed Maintain accurate and timely documentation of care provided and the student's health status Partner with teachers, school staff, and family members to ensure a safe, positive learning environment for the student Serve as a reliable resource and advocate for the student's health and well-being on campus and during transport If you're an experienced LPN, LVN, or RN ready to work autonomously and support a student in reaching their educational goals, this position offers a rewarding and unique setting outside the traditional healthcare environment.
