TriCities Hospital seeks a Registered Nurse Residency participant to join our advanced Emergency Department. In this role, you will provide compassionate, evidence-based care to diverse, high-acuity patients under the guidance of experienced preceptors. Responsibilities include triage, assessment, medication administration, and close collaboration with physicians and interdisciplinary teams. You will engage in a structured residency program focused on clinical excellence, professional growth, and teamwork within a supportive, patient-centered culture. Responsibilities Deliver high-quality nursing care to ED patients under RN residency preceptorship Perform triage, ongoing assessment, and documentation in accordance with hospital policies Administer medications, treatments, and interventions safely and accurately Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and interdisciplinary team members to coordinate care Educate patients and families on conditions, treatments, and discharge instructions Participate in code and rapid response situations following ED protocols Use EMR systems to document care and communicate patient status Adhere to infection control, patient safety, and regulatory standards Engage in residency curriculum, skills labs, and competency validations Participate in quality improvement and evidence-based practice initiatives Required Skills Emergency nursing fundamentals Patient triage IV insertion and medication administration Cardiac and rhythm monitoring Wound care and dressing changes Electronic Medical Record (EMR) documentation
