1 Description American Traveler is hiring an ER RN for a 13-week travel assignment requiring 1-2 years of emergency room experience and a VA or compact RN license. Details Emergency Department at an acute-care hospital serving all ages 34-bed unit with 1:5 patient ratios Common cases include chest pain, CHF, COPD, and psychiatric presentations Uses Medhost EHR Shift runs 11:00 AM to 11:00 PM Every other weekend required Call required on an as-needed basis Floating required on an as-needed basis Requirements Active RN license (Standard or Compact) valid in Virginia Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, CPI/Handle with Care, NIH Stroke Scale, and PALS or
ENPC 1-2
years of Emergency Room RN experience required Social Security number and date of birth required for consideration AHA-issued certifications required Additional Information Provide emergency care to patients across all age groups Team environment supported by Director of Emergency Services Facility accredited for Chest Pain Center and Heart Failure care, part of Duke Heart and Telestroke Networks Scrubs of any color permitted; casual attire not allowed Random drug screening and criminal questionnaire consent required Must reside 60 miles or more from the facility to be eligible for the travel rate Candidates cannot have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the past 12 months Candidates cannot be employed elsewhere full time during the assignment
