Pay:
$15.00 per hour We are currently seeking several reliable and hardworking Utility Workers to for a manufacturing company in Martinsville, VA. This position supports daily operations by assisting with material handling, production support, cleaning, organizing, and helping different departments as needed.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist production team members with daily tasks as needed Move, stage, load, and organize materials, supplies, and finished products Help keep work areas clean, safe, and organized Support sewing, upholstery, assembly, packing, or warehouse areas as assigned Perform general labor duties throughout the facility Inspect materials or products for obvious damage or quality concerns Follow instructions from supervisors and team leads Use basic hand tools or equipment as needed Follow all company safety procedures and workplace guidelines Assist with lifting, carrying, and moving items throughout the shift
Requirements:
Previous manufacturing, warehouse, general labor, or production experience preferred Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, push, pull, and lift throughout the shift Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. as needed Willingness to help in multiple areas of the facility Strong work ethic and dependable attendance Ability to follow directions and work as part of a team Comfortable working in a production/manufacturing environment Attention to safety, cleanliness, and quality
Preferred Skills:
Experience in furniture, textile, upholstery, warehouse, or manufacturing work is a plus Basic knowledge of hand tools or production equipment helpful Ability to work at a steady pace and switch tasks when needed
Work Environment:
Production/manufacturing environment. Employees may work around fabric, upholstery materials, production equipment, hand tools, moving carts, and warehouse inventory. The role may require standing and moving for most of the shift.
