Job Description

Johnston-Willis Hospital seeks a New Grad RN Resident for our Inpatient Rehabilitation Unit. In this structured residency, you will provide direct patient care, perform assessments, administer medications, and support patients through recovery and rehabilitation. Working with an interdisciplinary team, you'll develop care plans, educate patients and families, and uphold safety and quality standards. Responsibilities Provide direct nursing care to patients in the inpatient rehabilitation unit Conduct patient assessments and monitor vital signs Administer medications and treatments safely Develop and update individualized care plans Collaborate with physicians and the interdisciplinary rehab team Educate patients and families on recovery and self-care Maintain accurate and timely EHR documentation Follow infection control, safety, and quality standards Participate in residency education, training, and mentorship Support a culture of compassion, teamwork, and patient-centered care Required Skills Patient assessment Medication administration Wound care Care planning Rehabilitation nursing Electronic Health Records (EHR) Vital signs monitoring Patient and family education Infection control Interdisciplinary collaboration
