1 Description American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Emergency Department position requiring VA or compact RN licensure and Level I/II trauma experience. Details 13-week assignment in the Emergency Department Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts (18:30-07:00) on a 36/36 schedule Cares for combined adult and pediatric ED patients, including trauma, stroke, and psychiatric cases Patient ratio of 1:5 Epic charting system experience required Float requirement to Lonesome Pine Hospital ED and Lee County Community Hospital ED Requirements Active VA or compact RN license required at time of consideration Required certifications:

BLS, ACLS, PALS

(AHA certifications only accepted) Preferred certifications:

NIHSS, NRP, TNCC

Minimum 2 years of ED nursing experience preferred Epic EMR experience required Community, teaching hospital, and Trauma Level I/II experience preferred Experience with a broad range of ED skills including IV therapy, respiratory support, cardiac monitoring, neurological and orthopedic trauma care Completion of Relias EKG testing within 72 hours of signing required for compliance Must complete drug screening within 12-14 calendar days prior to start Facial hair must be trimmed or removed to meet CDC fit-testing guidelines Additional Information Provide emergency care across adult, pediatric, and trauma patient populations, including stroke and psychiatric presentations Participate in nursing student support and clinical education alongside clinical duties General orientation begins on Sundays with online modules averaging 4-5 hours Orientation includes 16 hours of nonbillable time Must reside 100+ miles from the hospital's service area; no local candidates accepted First-time travelers are welcome to apply if they meet licensure and experience requirements Hospital may cancel or call off one shift biweekly without financial penalty due to census changes
