An experienced Registered Nurse (RN) is needed to assist with a medical leave, providing dedicated daytime coverage for a bustling middle school of 545 students, ages 11-14. This contract position offers a meaningful opportunity to positively impact young lives throughout the school day, from 8/11/2026 to 9/21/2026.

Key Qualifications:

Current and valid RN license; LPNs with strong school-based experience may be considered Previous experience working with middle school youth preferred Strong assessment, triage, and communication skills Ability to respond calmly and efficiently in urgent or emergency situations Compassionate, approachable, and patient-focused Proficiency with health documentation and student recordkeeping Ability to work independently and collaborate with faculty, parents, and healthcare providers

Core Responsibilities:

Deliver direct nursing care to students, addressing injuries, illnesses, and chronic condition management throughout the school day Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to support student wellness and safety Administer medications and monitor individualized healthcare plans Maintain accurate and confidential health records Educate students and staff on healthy habits, preventative care, and infection control Serve as a reliable resource during medical emergencies and for general health questions Support a safe school environment, adapting to the needs of this dynamic middle school population This full-time commitment is set at 7.25 hours per day (36.25 hours per week), presenting a unique chance to work a consistent daytime schedule while making a real difference in student well-being.
