1 Description American Traveler is hiring a night shift RN for a PCU/MedSurg/Telemetry position at a critical access hospital, requiring 5 years of experience and the ability to perform charge nurse duties. Details Critical access, 25-bed hospital setting PCU/MedSurg/Telemetry unit Night shift, 7p-7a, including every other weekend rotation Floating required to other units (ED, MCH) as needed Uses Cerner EMR 13-week contract Requirements Active RN license (VT or compact) required upon acceptance Minimum of 5 years of nursing experience required Must be able to work independently and perform charge nurse duties Additional Information Provide nursing care across PCU, MedSurg, and Telemetry patient populations Holiday coverage required Agency professionals required to attend department quarterly education sessions Located in Newport, Vermont in the Northeast Kingdom near the Canadian border Area offers outdoor recreation including hiking, skiing, fishing, and snowmobiling Personal transportation strongly recommended due to limited public transportation Support provided throughout the transition to the new role and community
