1 Description American Traveler is hiring an ER RN for a night shift position at a critical access hospital requiring BLS, ACLS, PALS, and TNCC certifications and welcoming first-time travelers. Details Work in the Emergency Department of a critical access hospital with 23 total staff beds General Emergency Department serving combined adult/pediatric patients Patient ratio of 1:5 Night shift schedule (3x12 hours, 19:00-7:00) Rotating weekends required Floating between units required No on-call responsibilities Uses Epic charting system Any color scrubs permitted for RN/Allied staff No parking fees Requirements Active WA or compact RN license required at time of consideration Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, and TNCC (NRP preferred) Minimum of 1 year of ER nursing experience required Epic charting experience preferred Skills in pediatrics, abdominal pain, asthma, hyperglycemia, infection, mental/behavioral health conditions, respiratory infection, and seizures Experience with IV therapy/phlebotomy, blood product administration, and starting/maintaining IVs Experience with emergency medications and IV vasopressors Experience with cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation and management Skilled in isolation precautions/PPE and triage Experience identifying and reporting neglect or abuse 2 supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years Full SSN and DOB required for consideration Additional Information Provide emergency nursing care across a broad range of adult and pediatric conditions including psychiatric, respiratory, neurological, and orthopedic presentations May float between sister facilities near the contracted location Must commit to working 3 of 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day) RTO requests must be submitted upfront during the application process, as post-offer requests may not be accommodated First-time travelers are welcome to apply Former Providence employees may return as travelers after a 3-month waiting period, provided they are not within 50 miles of the facility Local candidates accepted at a lower bill rate Local radius rule of 50 miles applies Candidates should not contact facility staff directly outside of scheduled interviews
