Job Description

We are seeking experienced Registered Nurse (RN) candidates to provide high-quality, comprehensive nursing care within the Behavioral Heath Unit (BH). These positions will support the care of patients with complex medical and surgical conditions and require nurses who are comfortable managing high-acuity patients and providing care across a wide range of ages and clinical needs. This role requires a dependable nursing professional who can meet government qualification, credentialing, security, and onboarding requirements while working under a personal services arrangement. The ideal candidate will bring recent registered nursing experience in a primary care or occupational medicine setting, a current unrestricted RN license, strong clinical judgment, and a commitment to supporting mission readiness and high-quality care for service members and eligible patient populations.
Minimum Requirements:
Current, full, active, and unrestricted license to practice as a
Registered Nurse Experience:
A minimum of one (1) year qualifying experience in the past two years as a Registered Nurse in Behavioral Health Unit (BH)
Degree/Education:
Minimum of Associate's degree in nursing. The school must be accredited by the Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN) and/or the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE). For education outside the United States, only the Commission on Graduates of Foreign Nursing School reports are accepted (CGFNS), for overseas degree verification BLS (American Heart Association)
Additional Requirements:
Must pass TB Test Subject to a background/security investigation Willingness to comply with vaccination requirements. Pre-employment drug screening US Citizen Contract workers shall maintain good personal hygiene and present a well-groomed and professional appearance IAW the policy at the place of performance.
Key Responsibilities:
Collect and assess comprehensive patient health and behavioral information. Develop mental health and nursing diagnoses, individualized treatment plans, patient goals, and expected outcomes. Provide psychotherapeutic sessions to individuals, families, and groups. Provide non-violent crisis intervention and maintain a safe therapeutic environment. Monitor, document, and report patient behavior, Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), progress, and response to treatment. Implement precautions to prevent patient injury, suicide, and elopement. Coordinate patient care and participate in supportive group sessions. Provide patient education, including psychotherapeutic strategies and healthy-living education. Apply and manage manual and mechanical restraints in accordance with established protocols. Administer prescribed medications and manage medication therapy according to established procedures. Participate in discharge planning and ensure continuity of care. In addition to Amergis' standard benefits package, we are offering the following: ?
