Nurse Practitioner / Physician Assistant, House Calls WA Statewide Traveler Optum 401(k) United States, Washington, Kent Aug 20, 2026 Nurse Practitioner / Physician Assistant, House Calls WA Statewide Traveler Incentives $40,000 Student Loan Repayment or $40,000 Sign-On Bonus Base salary plus multiple incentive opportunities All travel expenses covered Location & Travel Travel across the entire state of Washington (approximately 85% travel) Providers may live anywhere in Washington Schedule & Work-Life Balance Flexible scheduling between 8 AM - 8 PM No on-call responsibilities No weekends required No holidays required About the Role Optum HouseCalls is seeking a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to provide annual in-home health assessments for Medicare Advantage and other health plan members. This is a non-prescribing, field-based role focused on preventive care, patient education, care gap closure, and collaboration with primary care providers. Key Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive in-home health assessments Review medical history and medications Perform physical exams, screenings, and point-of-care testing Identify and document diagnoses Communicate findings to PCPs Educate patients on health conditions and treatment plans Address social determinants of health and connect patients with resources Recognize and respond to urgent clinical situations
Required Qualifications NP:
ANCC or AANP certification (Family, Adult, Geriatric, or AGPCNP)
PA:
NCCPA certification Active, unrestricted licensure (or ability to obtain) Valid driver's license and reliable transportation Ability to work in various home environments and travel extensively throughout Washington Preferred Qualifications 1+ years of clinical experience (primary care, geriatrics, family practice, or home health preferred) EMR proficiency Experience working with Medicare or geriatric populations Strong patient communication and education skills Why Candidates Consider This Role Extensive travel with expenses fully covered Live anywhere in Washington No call, weekends, or holidays Flexible schedule and strong work-life balance Preventive, non-prescribing patient care model Additional incentive opportunities beyond base salary Compensation for this specialty generally ranges from $91,700 - $163,700. Total cash compensation includes base pay and bonus and is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience and may increase over time based on productivity and performance in the role.
