Job Description
Job Description Provide basic first aid and emergency care to students and staff. Administer medications and treatments as delegated by the licensed school nurse. Assist with monitoring students with chronic health conditions (e.g., diabetes, asthma, seizures) according to individualized health plans. Perform delegated health procedures such as: Blood glucose monitoring Catheterization assistance Tube feeding Nebulizer treatments Other procedures as trained and delegated by the nurse Document student health visits, treatments, and medication administration in accordance with district and state requirements. Support health screenings (vision, hearing, growth, etc.) under nurse direction Communicate health-related information to staff, families, and the school nurse as appropriate. Maintain the cleanliness, organization, and stock of the health room. Uphold student confidentiality and comply with FERPA, HIPAA, and district policies. Assist in maintaining immunization and health compliance records. Provide health education and wellness support as directed by the nurse Participate in staff training related to health and safety protocols. Other related duties as assigned.
