Responsibilities Conduct thorough patient assessments, including vital signs, physical examinations, and detailed medical histories to inform treatment plans. Administer medications and injections accurately following prescribed protocols while maintaining strict aseptic techniques. Manage complex medical procedures such as IV infusions, catheterizations, suturing, and ventilator care with precision and confidence. Utilize advanced EMR/EHR systems like Epic, Cerner, Athenahealth, or eClinicalWorks for comprehensive documentation of patient care activities. Coordinate interdisciplinary case management efforts, including discharge planning, long-term care arrangements, and hospice or palliative medicine services. Provide emergency response in critical situations such as trauma or acute pain episodes, utilizing critical care and trauma medicine expertise. Educate patients and families on health coaching, medication administration, nutrition, and disease management strategies tailored to individual needs. Requirements Valid RN license in the state of practice with current CPR/BLS certification. Proven experience working in diverse clinical environments such as ICU, emergency room, labor & delivery, or outpatient clinics. Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems including Epic, Cerner, or similar platforms; proficiency in medical documentation and ICD coding is preferred. Strong knowledge of anatomy and physiology principles coupled with excellent patient assessment skills. Experience working with special populations such as pediatrics, geriatrics, individuals with developmental disabilities or dementia care needs. Ability to perform sterile procedures like phlebotomy, specimen collection/processing, and ostomy care confidently.
