Nursery Staff Woodinville Unitarian Universalist Church - 5.0 Woodinville, WA Job Details Part-time $25 an hour 1 day ago Full Job Description Position Summary Nursery Staff provide safe, nurturing, developmentally appropriate care for infants and toddlers (ages 3 months - 4 years) during Sunday services and occasional evening events at WUUC. Nursery Staff help ensure a welcoming environment for all children and families by providing reliable care for young children while their parents or guardians participate in worship. Responsibilities Provide necessary care for infants and toddlers, which may include diapering, feeding, soothing, and supervising play Be a warm, patient presence with young children Affirm Unitarian Universalist values including respect for diverse family structures Maintain a safe and clean environment in the Nursery space Engage children in more structured activities when appropriate such as snack time, story time, and sharing time Communicate with families at drop off and pick up as appropriate and manage sign-in and sign out procedures Communicate needed supports, supplies, etc. with the CYF Coordinator Provide age appropriate social/emotional supports such as redirecting and modeling problem solving skills Ability and willingness to move and lift typical children's furniture, collapsible tables, and chairs in order to set and reset the meeting space before and after class Qualifications Ability and desire to interact with children with diverse needs Ability to maintain professionalism including reliability, punctuality, and positive communication with children and families Willing to follow all WUUC safety policies and adhere to the code of ethics
