Job Description

The Staff Pad is partnering with a leading healthcare system in Wausau, WI to hire Registered Nurses for a high-acuity Critical Care (ICU) / Step-Down Units This unit cares for a complex patient population including cardiothoracic, post-surgical, and telemetry patients-offering exposure to ICU-level skills in a structured, team-driven environment.
Schedule:
Full-Time Part-Time Supplemental What You'll Do:
Provide care for patients requiring higher acuity monitoring (drips, chest tubes, central lines) Collaborate with a strong interdisciplinary team in a fast-paced setting Manage frequent admissions, discharges, and transfers Deliver patient-centered care with a focus on safety and outcomes
What We're Looking For:
Associates Degree in Nursing, Bachelor's degree preferred Certification in specialty preferred RN license (WI or compact eligible & Trauma nursing core course BLS required (or obtained within 90 days of hire) ACLS, PALS or NRP preferred based on primary department Open to new grads and experienced nurses 3+ years practicing as an RN in a comparative setting for experienced nurses Comfortable in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment
