Job Description

The Hartland-Lakeside School District is seeking a part-time Health Room Aide for the 2025/26 school year. The primary duties of the position area as follows: Provide care for Acute and Chronic injury/illness needs for students Administer student medication as dictated by the school district policy Assist in the inventory of health supplies and equipment Prioritize student needs while handling multiple interruptions Assist school office staff, as time allows Document visits in the the district student data base (Skyward) Treat all information and records in a confidential manner. Following the Health Care Plan as directed by the district nurse Assist, and/or provide direct care to students to manage chronic health conditions such as, urinary catheterization, gastrostomy (G tube) care, asthma care, with a focus on Diabetic care (carb counting, blood glucose checks, insulin injections, and insulin pumps), Maintain current CPR/AED certifications Act as a health advocate for students, staff and parents Perform related duties as assigned by the District Nurse Organize and prioritize workload Qualifications Preferred- Previous experience working with children in a medical setting High school diploma or equivalent.
